 They are very fertile seeds and most are already sprouting.  Due to high costs of shipment and importing from Brazil, we only bring in 100% fertile acai seeds, for great value.  We are dedicated to this species only and do not store seeds for more than a week or so.  They sprout quickly and we do not dry store them.   We receive lots of customers that have bought low cost imitations from seed dealers that are fossilized and useless.  Acai (Euterpe Oleracea) definitely proves its recalcitrant trait.

*Up for bid are special dwarf acai seeds from the Brazilian amazon.  These acai seeds are from palms developed for superior berry production.  They yield 30% more acai pulp per palm and the fruit is much better quality.  They also fruit at a shorter size meaning less years to wait for maturity.   Also, it reaches heights of 20 feet instead of the regular 30 feet which makes for easier harvesting.

*Açai palms can be grown as a tropical houseplant, or for berry production in warmer climates outdoors.  This palm is fast growing and produces a clump of new palms within a couple years. They can be kept to a manageable size for indoors with a container.  Potted acai palms are a beautiful houseplant and are easy to overwinter inside. The shorter stature of this palm makes it easy to manage its size.   Indoors the palms will continue growth during the winter with adequate sun and plenty of water.

Acai seeds are very easy to grow and are an inexpensive way to start a group of these palms.  Large quantity auctions can be set up upon request.
