PEUGEOT 307, 206, 406, PARTNER, CITROEN XSARA, BERLINGO, C5, C8 INDICATOR/WIPER STALKS COM 2000 DAV/DELPHI (OR ANY COMM 2000 UNIT) I CAN NOT REPAIR SOME FAULTS please see below for full details
TO FIND OUT WHAT UNIT YOU HAVE AND IF I CAN REPAIR IT
have a look on the unit it will tell you on the back of the unit, its molded into the plastic when it was made
have a look at the picture in this listing and notice the colour of the three wires coming out of the different units are different colours on the different makes (if you click the picture it should make it bigger for you)

COMMON SYMPTOMS OF A FAULTY DAV UNIT (all these faults can be fixed unless otherwise stated)
horn not working (please contact me if airbag light is on)
when you indicate right and it clicks off does it put the left indicator on itself
indicator feels loose and floppy
when you put indicator on if flashes full beam lights (blue light on dash)
if airbag light is on please read the note below & then contact me as i cannot fix all airbag faults.
I would recommend finding out what is causing the airbag fault(s) as it might not even be the comms unit or it could be multiple faults, i can investigate this for you if you bring the vehicle to me, prices for this vary but start from just £5, reading the codes does not tell you exactly what part is faulty it will only give you a better indication as to where to look for the fault.

indicator clicks 3 times and then puts lights
head lights randomly come on (green light on dash)

IF YOU HAVE A UNIT THAT CAN BE REPAIRED
1, does the vehicle has ESP
If your vehicle has ESP there will be an ESP light on the dash that lights up when you turn the key on, another way to tell is there will be 5 connections on back of comms unit 1 will be black if the black connector has a black plug going into it then the vehicle does not have ESP, if it has a blue plug going into the black connector then the car has esp.
You will need a Delphi comm 2000 that has ESP in it if your vehicle has ESP (you will also need to plug pp2000 in and recalibrate the steering angle sensor)
If your vehicle does not have ESP you need a DAV or Delphi unit with no ESP (DAV units do not have ESP)
2, how many connections on the back of the comms unit going into it from the vehicle
206 + 406 has 4 connections without ESP and 5 connections with ESP, 307 has 5 connections with or without ESP (I don’t know about rest)
If your vehicle has 5 connections you need a unit with 5 but if your vehicle has 4 you can use a unit that has 5 connections
3, has the vehicle got auto lights/ wipers
If your vehicle has auto lights or wipers you need a unit with a button on the end of the light stalk with an arrows pointing down the stalk saying auto, it will also say auto on the wiper stalk
4, has the vehicle got a trip computer
If your vehicle has a trip computer you will have a button on the end of the wiper stalk with 2 arrows pointing down the stalk
If your vehicle has a trip button and you fit a unit with no button you will lose this feature
If your vehicle has no trip button and you fit a unit with a trip button the rest of unit will work but to get the trip computer working you need to change settings in pp2000.
5, has the vehicle got front fogs
If your vehicle has front fogs then the unit will have 2 arrows up and 2 down on the fog switch apart from these markings the unit is the same and will work the same
E.g. if your vehicle has front fogs and the unit does not it will still work the front fogs the same and vice verse
6, has your vehicle got a rear wiper
If your vehicle has a rear wiper you need a unit with a rear wiper
If your vehicle does not have a rear wiper a unit with or without a rear wiper will work
7, has your vehicle got remote central locking
If your vehicle has remote central locking you needs a comms unit that has a working remote central locking receiver inside
If your vehicle does not have remote central locking this does not matter you can fit a unit with or without a remote central locking receiver inside
8, is your vehicle fitted with a comm2000 or comm 2003
If your unit is a comm 2005 or any other comms unit a comm 2000 will not work.
Delphi made a comm 2000 and a comm 2003 both look the same and both say comm 2000 on the back but a comm 2003 has a bar code sticker on the top that will have a 96 number if it only has the 96 number it’s a comm 2000 if it says comm 2003 as well then it’s a comm 2003. Comm 2000’s and comm 2003 units cannot be swapped with each other your vehicle will not start
9, radio stalk
This unclips and will plug into your new unit, if your radio stalk is also broken please mention you would also like a radio stalk
