1982 Gibson Grabber, very rare teal Blue finish. All original and complete with the exception of the missing bridge cover. Arrow-shaped heastock inspired by the flying V. Contoured body edge vaguely echoes the SG, its offset horns were clearly reminiscent of other popular makes, as was its bolt-on neck (4 bolt). The strings go through the body allowing for greater sustain and this bass definitely has that, along with a superb tone. It has a sliding humbucker giving you tonal options. Serial: 83282002. Weight: 9lbs 13oz.
This is a fine example of the last year production of the Gibson Grabber Bass, 1982. This was the only year that Gibson offered this rare metal flake, teal blue colour. It's in excellent condition, straight neck, electronics in full working order, plenty of life left on the frets having been cleaned and polished by my tech. The pots date to late 1981. This bass has been fully set up by my technician. Come and try it out at my showroom in Hoxton London.
