This is a stunning retro cup and saucer. Spanish Garden was designed by Jessie Tait for Midwinter and introduced in 1966. It was perhaps Midwinter's most popular design in the 60s. These plates are in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and little sign of wear. Please look carefully at my photos.

The abstract floral design is in strong blues and greens on bright white.

The black back stamp reads: Midwinter FINE TABLEWARE STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND. There is also a brown number.

The saucer has a diameter of about 5.5 inches/14cm, with a rim that rises to about 2cm. The cup measures about 8cm across the rim and stands about 7cm tall.

This cup and saucer in a classic design will look stunning in a period display or on your coffee or tea table.
