Unmarked 8 inch Dallmeyer  Pentac   Air Ministry Lens f2.9

My research indicates that this World war 2 British Air ministry aerial photography Lens. Although the lens does not have the Dallmeyer name on it. It bears the same Air Ministry marking 14A/780 and is similar in every respect except for the name on the outer ring .   (please see photos)

As with most lenses of the period it is uncoated

The Glass is very nice there is some internal dust.

I notice when photographing the lens, if you hold the lens at an angle to the strong light there appears to be a haze or water marks behind the front element (see last Photo) this will not affect the photographic results unless the lens catches bright light at a steep angle

The aperture blades move freely and are free of oil.

The outer barrel has some minor scuffing to the black paint.

The lens cover 5 x 5 inches wide open or stopped down

The flange is built in to the barrel and is not removable.
