Tree pairs of very rare, and highly wanted vintage cinema speakers type L3354 PBK, used
in the 50’s by Zeiss Carl mobile cinema systems TK35, and later in the 16 mm mobile cinema
system LMP16 together with the tube amplifier LMV 10. The speakers L3354 PBK were
special cinema speakers, developed and produced in early 50's on behalf of the Zeiss Carl
company. The diameter is 12"/30 cm, power capacity 12,5 Watt, and the impedance is 6,3
Ohm. The L3354 PBK, are directly predecessors of the legendary L3060 PB speakers.
The first baskets of the speakers L3060 PB were the same as with the L3354 PBK (check
below photos which shown the specific nuances)
The offered speakers are in a very good technical and optical condition, and work
trouble free.The cones not have any defects - no cracks, no tears, no ruptures etc...
These speakers have big sensitivity and efficiency, and reproduce an amazing vintage sound.
The mobile cinema systems TK35 were produced by Carl Zeiss in the years 1948 -1965.
The speakers L3060PB were produced on behalf of the company Carl Zeiss by the famous
old German manufacture Körting. The company Körting was nationalized by the GDR
government in year 1948 and re-named as VEB Funkwerk Leipzig-RFT- check in internet
(de.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%B6rting_Radio_Werke).
The L3060PB with "long magnets" ware direct successors of the L3354PBK, and the
predecessors of L3354 PBK were the L2747P and L2152P, equipped still with a phenolic
spider, and were produced to end of 40's only. The L3354 PBK, and L3060 PB have
a textile centering (spider), and an additional high frequency nozzle.
The speakers L3354 PBK, were directly predecessors of the model L3060 PB with "long
magnet", and they were developed produced special for use in cinema audio systems.
The length of the magnet 70 mm and 50 mm is not relevant. The speakers type L3354
PBK, and L3060 PB with a "long magnet" have identical voice coils, identical paper cones,
and identical spiders. Practicable the differences between the L3354 PBK, and the
L3060 PB with "long magnet" have an optical character only.The sound is absolute identical!
