The Silverstein Works commitment to bringing technology to the modern artist introduces the Cryo4 Gold Silverstein Ligature. The Cryogenic Treatment Process plunges the alloy of the Silverstein Ligature to a chilling -300°F, greatly improving characteristics of the ligature by changing the crystal structure of the metal itself. The Cryogenic Process of the metal results in a more refined, homogeneous solid. This has a profound effect on the sound waves that travel through it: sound waves travel much faster and without loss through the more homogenized metal alloy, resulting in a richer, more natural sound with improved resonance. The additional Fine Tuners on the Cryo4 Gold Ligature maximize the effects of the Cryogenic Process to bring you the most refined ligature possible.
THE 2ND EVOLUTION: DOTTED CORD
Interspersed cord with a refined strand – a thinner thread for even less contact and pressure with the reed while maintaining the Ligature’s trademark design and grip. This makes all the difference for greater control, a more dynamic sound, and a richer tone
Improved metal alloy for better resonance with a wider range of mouthpiece. A nano-scale polymer layer is formed by the advanced plasma coating technology over entire surface of the Ligature. -Better resonance -Improve durability -Improved scratch resistance -Improved aesthetics
Enhanced design with new alloy provides better control and dynamics in sound. Additional set of Fine Tuners can be mounted for more customized sound (Sold separately as an accessory). -Even better control over focus, sound color and tone -Additional Fine Tuners are now available for separate purchase
The nut adjusts tension on the cord. By tightening less, the sound gets darker and a reed vibrates more. It also compensates thickness of a reed. If a reed is too thin, tightening more makes the reed sound like a thicker reed - and vise versa.
The Silverstein Works commitment to bringing technology to the modern artist introduces the Silverstein CRYO4 Gold Ligature.
The cryogenic treatment process, which plunges the metal parts of the ligature to a chilling -300 degrees Fahrenheit, greatly improves the characteristics of the ligature by changing the crystal structure of the metal itself.
The cryogenic process allows the metal to become a more refined, homogeneous solid. This has a profound effect on the sound waves that travel through it: sound waves travel much faster and without loss, resulting in a fuller, more natural sound with improved resonance.
The additional pair of Fine Tuners on the CRYO4 Gold Ligature maximizes the effects of the Cryogenic process to bring out more refinement and control.
CRYO4 Gold Ligature also features the Dotted Cord found in the ORIGINAL Silverstein Ligature.
