Howard Miller 612-581 Triple Chime Wall Clock #143

Ran for a while after I got it at an Estate Sale. Kept time but chimes kept running too long and melody was weak and inconsistent. Also had a clicking noise when striking at the top of the hour.

Not currently running.

Howard Miller Triple Chime Wood Case Key Wound Wall Clock.

Dark Burlwood piece under the arch at top of clock.

Case in very good condition. 1051-020 45 cm Hermle movement. All original. Do it yourself, get a used replacement movement.

When running, it Chimes every quarter hour to the tune of your choosing.
Strikes at top of the hour or select the Silent setting.

When working, Chime options are  Westminster, St. Michael's, and Whittington or silent.

Triple chimes are produced by 8 chime rods and hammers as opposed to the normal Westminster chimes with only 5 rods and hammers, producing a much richer melody.

We recently owned one just like this.
One of the best sounding chimes I've heard.
My wife says, "That is lovely, really lovely."
Suspect this is related to unusual height of the clock.

36" x 13" x 8-1/2"
