These would Make Great Lamps  

Original Folk Art

NOTE:   These are by far the most interesting decorated pair of double handled  crocks to have surfaced in a long time……   

commonly called memory art this style was very popular in the late 1800’s throughout the early 1900’s

Rare Close Matching Pair of Crocks with Double Eared Handles

Wonderful Form of Folk Art 

Still Desirable Today and Highly Collectible

An assortment of broken pieces consisting of early glass, pottery or a cherished trinket and other simple articles were placed on a variety of objects over the years

Unique examples such as these two crocks with double handles that I’m offering are far and few between

  CONDITION REPORT:  These are original and not a modern creation done with older materials.   I am not familiar with crocks, jugs etc. but I feel these crocks may be possibly red ware

  The interior rim of one crock shows an early crack that was most likely glued when it happened.  I point this out as the material / remnants that were added on the exterior….

I believe were placed long after this crack occurred as the exterior decoration opposite this area shows no evidence of the crack seen on the inside of the jug 

 I just mention this for accuracy as I feel these are the best examples of memory art I've owned in a while

They both are in very good overall condition with all their applications still firmly affixed to the walls of the crocks and their handles……

The top Diameter of Both Jugs:   Are the same   /   4-3/4”  Diameter Each  

Height:  13-3/4” Tall ( the jug with the doll head )       13-1/4" Tall the other Jug  - One is a tad Shorter.....
