PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS BEFORE BUYING –

These are brand new items but they are slight SECONDS in terms of quality.

We are a Fair Trade company and part of our ethos is never to send anything back to our suppliers or withhold payment. Sometimes we receive leather items from our suppliers that are not quite up to our high standards. Leather is a natural product and is not likely to be perfect. However, with these items there are some obvious but minor imperfections in the finish of the covers. This may be an odd mark or scrape or something similar. We think this adds to the rugged and unique appeal of the items.

Because of these minor faults, the items are being sold at a VERY REDUCED PRICE. If however, bearing this all in mind, you are not happy with the product once you have received it, you are more than welcome to send it back to us for a refund. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the return postage as it has been made clear that the items are seconds.

Please note that the images above are general and for illustration purposes only; the items will all be slightly different due to their handmade nature. The images do not show the defects as outlined above.

Dimensions approx. 135 x 185 mm (13.5cm x 18.5cm), (5.3inch x 7.3inch)

Each item is individual, leather is a natural product and can have slight imperfections, we feel this adds to the individuality and makes each product unique.

These handmade, Fair Trade and eco friendly leather journals are made by a small family business in Rajasthan, India.

The approximate dimensions of these leather journals are: 135 x 185 mm

These journals have approximately 115 pages of unlined khadda paper; khadda is recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India.  It is handmade and doesn’t contain any chemicals as we use only unbleached cotton. The paper is very easy to write on.  The paper is made by charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.

The embossing on these journals has been done with love, care and individual small handmade tools, making each journal unique.

Due to the handmade nature of this leather journal, the small details of the embossed pattern might not be the same as on the image but the 'Tree Of Life' element of the design will be as shown. The embossed pattern on the back of the journal may differ from the representative image shown.

The leather has been tanned by our suppliers using a natural dye and the put together using a mixture of love, contemporary and traditional skills.

These journals have been expertly crafted with the pages hand stitched in and are ideal for travelling and perfect for just doodling or diary writing.

Due to the handmade nature of these products the colour may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard.

We are a Fair Trade company and regularly visit our suppliers to ensure the highest standards are met.

We pay our suppliers 50% upfront and send money to them whenever they need it. We never send anything back or not pay for damaged goods.

PLEASE NOTE : WE DO NOT ADVISE USING FOUNTAIN PEN WITH THIS TYPE OF HANDMADE PAPER AS THE INK MAY SPREAD.
