This is a stunning example of the super rare steel Rolex Oyster Octagonal dating from the 1930’s. The solid steel 3 part case is in near perfect condition with only the most minimal signs of wear – the Rolex signed screw down is working perfectly and is extremely rare. The original Rolex signed steel starburst guilloche dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and it just beautiful. The outer railway line style minute markers and black Arabic hour numbers along with the blued steel hands create a classic art-deco look. The very high grade Rolex signed ‘Timed at 6 Positions’ manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new black crocodile skin strap with a steel buckle.
Watches of this rarity and condition are some of the most difficult to find and prices are increasing at a rapid rate. Please bear in mind the watch is nearly 90 years old and is not recommended for daily use and will gain/lose 1 to 2 minutes a day.
As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 3 month guarantee on the movement which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
