We have created this listing so the cost of a unique special design, with detailed, hand-painted artwork is included. Please see the photos for examples - though you design can be totally different to this. We ask you to send us some images to show us your idea [you must come up with the concept yourself and know exactly what you want]. We do ask for some flexibility too, so that you are fairly open-minded about the end result. You can see from the pictures the quality of our work - and you can see a photo for approval before it is dispatched.
Any colours are possible. Any colour of the rainbow is possible - red; orange; yellow; green; turquoise/aqua; light blue; royal blue; indigo/navy; purple; lilac; pink; gold; silver; bronze; or a 'shimmer' effect of a metallic colour. See disclaimer at bottom of page.

More information about AM Drums in general
AM Drums are designed to have the same kind of sound as the well-known Swiss steel instrument (that used to cost around 1200 euros, but which is no longer available), though AM Drums are a much more affordable and accessible alternative.
AM Drums can be played by hand or with rubber-tipped drum sticks (provided). Playing by hands usually takes a little practise to get the right technique (though some people get it instantly), and it is a quieter, more personal experience. When using sticks, the sound is much louder and clearer, which is great for busking, performance or making recordings.

Appearance
AM Rustic can make an AM Drum specially for you, to any musical scale you choose. You can even choose the colour (or 2 colours max), though we always use our own general design and logo.
Choose from: red; orange; yellow; green; turquoise/aqua; light blue; navy; purple; lilac; pink; gold; silver; bronze; or a 'shimmer' effect of a metallic colour.
Each drum is custom made, so it is unique and therefore may be slightly different from photo[s]. See disclaimer at bottom of page.

Tuning / frequency
AM Drums can be tuned to any musical scale or frequency. Your choice is NOT limited to the list below - virtually anything is possible, though sometimes we adapt scales slightly to get the best sound on our particular drums. Also, any scale can be rooted in a different key - i.e. start in a different note. It is the space between the notes, and the pattern they form together that creates the distinctive sound / character / flavour of a scale.

AM Drums have a warm, harmonious sound which resonates with vibrations in the human body, so they can help you to find an inner balance and strength. They are very easy to play and encourage you to find your creativity.
AM Drums can be used for therapeutic, healing / Reiki and holistic purposes - including meditation and personal awakening - as well as to accompany other instruments, such as string instruments and other kinds of percussion instruments.

Disclaimer - AM Drums are made from recycled steel. The shape may have some indentations in it which originate from it's original form. This is just part of your AM Drum's character. It is purely cosmetic and does not affect the quality or tuning of the instrument in any way. Photographs are for impression only. We strive to make your drum as similar as possible to the photo[s] shown, and the best possible. Each one is custom made so it is unique, and there may be some slight variation.
The first hank drums were made by Dennis Havlena, and they were designed to mimic the sound of the Swiss instrument - the name we dare not mention for legal reasons. But his version was quite rough, and he left it to others, like MA Rustic, to perfect the art with their AM Drums. Since then there have been other brands making them, such as HapiDrum, Rock Creek, Milltone, Karanga, Kool Drum, Zen Tambour, Tankdrum, Kaizen, Vibe Drum, Ajner and lots more, as well as more direct copies, by Spacedrum, Caisa, Pentarrow and Halo.
To date, AM Drums are still the best value on the market, by keeping the lowest price, while still maintaining quality and craftsmanship. Customers have told us they prefer our sound to some of the more expensive well-known brands.
AM Rustic make their AM Drums with love. When there is no longer any love going into the making of AM Drums, then they will stop. They are not in it for the money - their motivation is to share with the world the beautiful sound which can spread love and raise consciousness. This is why they prefer to sell directly, face to face, at markets and festivals, where they can play their music to everybody, free of charge. Ebay can be a little impersonal....
