We say 'purpose roasted' because this coffee is not roasted like normal 'drinking coffee' but goes through a special roasting process designed to maximize caffeine and palmitic acid content, the two key ingredients in a coffee enema detox program. 1.) THE NAME GAME: Some detox coffees say they are 'pure' or use the word 'pure' in their name. CALLING SOMETHING "PURE" DOES NOT MEAN IT IS. 2.) DO YOUR RESEARCH IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING INSTANT COFFEE (also called 'water soluble' coffee) FOR DETOXING: The process of making instant coffee results in the product having acrylamide, a chemical compound used by wastewater treatment facilities, paper making factories, and the ore processing industry as a water-soluble thickener. Occupational exposure to acrylamide is associated with neurotoxicity while dietary acrylamide has been shown to be carcinogenic in animal studies. A Dutch study published in the Jan 8, 2008 International Journal of Cancer stated that ". . . a positive association was seen between acrylamide-hemoglobin levels and estrogen receptor positive breast cancer . . ." Additional to this, more than one website reports that instant coffee is lower in caffeine than standard drinking coffee, which is an order of magnitude lower in caffeine than RobustaHealth's detox coffee and yet caffeine is one of the key ingredients in helping your liver eliminate toxins. It is also reported that instant coffee is sometimes supplemented with additional flavour and aroma compounds (which means chemicals you probably don't want swimming around in your body).
3.) VALUE FOR MONEY AND RESULTS: Is the coffee you're using for detox Robusta, or Arabica drinking coffee? We only use Robusta because it has much more of the active ingredients you want for use in your detox. This means you can use less of the Robusta compared to the Arabica for similar results or use an equal amount for superior results in detoxing your liver, gall bladder and blood as well (since the liver is filtering your blood every 3-5 minutes).
