2009 Fender American Standard Stratocaster w/ DiMarzio Area Pickups
"You have $240 in pickup"!!!!!!!!
Think of Clapton's "Brownie" on alder body. This guitar is absolutely gorgeous. Three-tone sunburst. I bought this Strat because it's a player! The down side of Strats are single coil hum and noise. Thank God for DiMarzio! No hum or noise, amazing single-coil tone, true vintage sounds. Thin finish undercoat to improve resonance. Maple fretboard with 22-medium-jumbo frets. Modern C-shape neck. Vintage style headstock and logo. Satin finish on back of neck and headstock, gloss on front. Parchment colored three-ply pick guard, knobs and appointments. New bridge design with bent steel saddles. Copper-infused vibrato block. 5-way pickup selector.
Comes with Fender SKB/TSA Flight case with "ATA" latches and plenty of case candy with Fender guitar strap, whammy bar & key to lock.
Small blemish on guitar near left top screw to pickguard. Was like that when I bought it from GC. This was absolutely the best playing Strat Guitar Center had for awhile. TSA case has ding. Does not effect protection.
DiMarzio Area Prewired Pickguard installed & guitar set up by professional luthier after I bought it.
• Area '58
The Area '58 offers excellent treble response and dynamics with little magnetic pull and virtually no hum. DC Resistance: 6.12
• Area '67
In the middle position, the Area '67 pushes sounds like the single-coils pickups of the late '60s totally eliminates hum and offers reduced magnet pull for improved sustain and clarity.
DC Resistance: 6.46
• Area '61
Finally, the Area '61 in the bridge position brings a steely, yet woody sound to the table. As with the other two pickups, the Area '61 eliminates hum and features reduced magnet pull. Bottom Tone Knob controls bridge tone. These 3 guitar pickups combine to create unique, undeniably vintage tone.
DC Resistance: 6.46
• All Magnets: Alnico 2
