Last week I took a few good photos with this Kodak 760(shutter actuation number is at about 7200), a few hours later, I encountered an error message from this Kodak 760:

I put a 2G card into the camera to format card, the camera started with wring sound and with a red LED starting blink signal "writing in the process".  However the back LCD start to blink as well. It does not stop the writing signal for many minutes unless I pulled out the battery.

I first thought that if I pulled the battery out and waited for a few minute to see if the camera would get reset.  However, without any cards in the camera, without even turning the switch on, once I installed the battery, the busy writing LED would return still blinking and the back LCD would start blinking until I pulled out battery again.

I went to a local store, the salesman said the camera must have a re-set button somewhere, however both of us do not have a manual.  Kodak, the maker is long gone, so we were unable to solve the error message issue.

In the following day, the borrowed battery was running out of power(no charger), so I had no manual no battery power to do any further testing.  I decided to reduced the price to let the next buyer to further experiment or to repair it.

Could that be a simple reset by push one of the buttons in the back?  I do not know .

Conclusion:  I reduced price to let it being sold for repair or for restoration.  It was perfect working until I installed a 2G card from my NIkon DSLR.

The original listing:

Kodak DCS760 DSLR Body, tested good working in taking photos, processing photos inside camera and display photos on the back screen and then I output processed Kodak JPG(or you can set for another format) to the computer for further post processing.

Attached is a real photo of the for sale camera.  I took a few photos just before I posted this eBay listing.  The camera took great photos with real Kodak color that known to many as vivid live-like that are missing in today's CMOS digital camera.

Excellent plus cosmetic condition, only missing rubber cover for the 1394 fire-wire socket which is insignificant(common).  Please study the detailed real item photo.  Photo is part of the description.

Camera body only, no lens, no battery(replacement is affordable on eBay, about $25 shipped on eBay).  No charger.  What you see in the photo is the camera you are going to receive.

Kodak DCS760 was the flagship model and the last model of CCD DSLR for Kodak thus has great following worldwide.  It was priced like a car back then in 2000.  Now this for sale camera is priced to go.

Please read and re-read the above update message.  This camera condition is being changed to for restoration or for repair due to an error message encountered after the earlier eBay listing was posted.  I restarted this new listing with updated information.  Sold as is for repair restoration.  No returns.
