This vest has an excellent carrying capacity and comfort value and is a highly popular solution for load carrying. The vest is constructed on a nylon mesh base, with adjustment over both left and right shoulders, and lower back. The vest has three large utility pockets on the right at waist level, two smaller utility pouches on left and right chest, two ammunition pouches holding three SA80/M16 magazines in each on the left at waist level followed by another utility pouch on the left of the ammo pouches. The left chest utility pouch has partially hidden quick release buckle and the front has a nylon cover for writing basic information such as name and rank. Inside this pouch, there are two pistol magazine pockets which can also be used for multitool, mini torch or similar items. The vest also has large zip-up dump pockets left and right. The left dump pocket has an internal holster with two pistol magazine pockets and the right dump pocket has an internal mesh A6 sized flat pocket for documents, wallets or notepads. The vest is buckled in the front with three adjustable quick release clips spread well along the crucial points of chest, mid-torso and waist for excellent stability. Rear of vest has carrying handle on the outside. The internal portion of the lower back of the vest is fitted with a double mesh layer which opens with velcro into a pocket in which padding can be added to relieve pressure on the lower back without using a separate hip pad. The vest adjusts for girth on the lower back with two 20mm straps, each fitted with double slide adjusters and over the shoulders with completely detachable shoulder sections reinforced with double 20mm straps and slide adjusters. Each shoulder is fitted with one vertically mounted 25mm strap and one horizontally mounted 25mm strap. These form 30mm loops to allow for retention of hydration or comms gear, attachment of small utility pouches from the MOLLE system, attachment of a one point rifle sling or general stowing of bungees, carabiners and other utilities. The rear of the vest is fitted with four 20mm positive quick release buckles for attaching the British Army issue bergen side pocket. Other side pockets which are compatible are the Webtex and Kombat single day packs. All the pouches at waist level open with the Spanish fly system, all chest height pouches open with adjustable 20mm quick release buckles. The vest is made of IRR treated texturised Cordura to British military specifications. Adjusts to fit approximately 5'5, 38 inch chest to 6'2, 44 inch chest.
