This listing is for:

1 x 200m reel of Pro Supex Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex (1.30mm, Natural)

This length of string is sufficient for at least 16 entire tennis racquets

Product Description:

Pro Supex Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex has been one of our best-selling tennis strings over the past few years, offering a nice combination of durability and feel as well as an extremely competitive price.  Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex is a direct competitor to Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex (SGD), the most popular synthetic gut tennis string worldwide, and is commonly regarded as providing better all-round performance and a less ‘plasticy’ feel.  Pro Supex Spiral Flex is slightly livelier than Prince SGD and tends to last a bit longer too – not bad considering it’s around half the price!  As well as being a great all-round string on its own, Spiral Flex is also great for use in the cross strings in a hybrid combination with a polyester main string – our favourite combination is Pro Supex Blue Gear / Pro Supex Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex.  Also available in 12m sets, please drop us a message if you’re interested.

Similar / Complimentary Products:

We stock a couple of synthetic gut strings from Pro Supex, Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex and Tempest Spin, essentially these are the same string except for Spiral Flex being natural in colour and Tempest Spin being black.  In reality we find these strings play very slightly differently and Tempest Spin is marginally stiffer and gets slightly more grip on the ball – there is very little in it and you’re probably best making a decision based on the colour and diameters available as opposed to anything else.  There are very few strings on the market which offer a better value synthetic gut with comparable performance, but alternatives include Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex, Head Synthetic Gut PPS and Babolat SG SpiralTek.

If you’re after ultimate playability (sacrificing a little durability) then you probably want to consider Pro Supex’s Maxim Touch multifilament string which offers exceptional power, feel and comfort.  Details of all these strings can be found in our other listings or on our website.

About us:

TennisStringer.co.uk was established in 2007 and is a UK based supplier of tennis, squash and badminton products.  Our small team consists of experienced players, coaches and stringers.  Our philosophy is to reduce the price of tennis, squash and badminton for players across the world. Having played competitively for many years and broken more strings than we care to remember, we are fully aware of how expensive racquet sports can be.  We realised that by offering strings and grips to the public at prices typically restricted to trade buyers, we could do our bit to decrease their costs.  Buying at our low prices, enables all our customers to be able to afford to keep their racquet in good condition.  We stock products from the majority of leading brands along with some from smaller brands which perform at least equivalently and are significantly cheaper.

Never under estimate the effect of strings and grips on your game! - Why do you think the pro's change their strings and grips so frequently?
