This bike is awesome!   It's been completely ready to sell for over a month but I've been hemming and hawing about actually selling it because now for the first time in over a year, it's finally ready to ride, race and rock!  I had a baby in early spring and haven't ridden it since.  However, broken nipples, a front brake that was spongy, a loose water-bottle boss, a shot bottom bracket and old Stan's played a roll in my not riding it too.  The money, but mostly the time to getting it fighting-fit again was the main hold-up.

Now, I'm happy to report:
  1. I replaced every alloy nipple with brass nipples (pictured).  I broke over 10 of them in the first year and a half I rode and raced it in both the front and rear and, had enough.  It's a hair heavier now, but the wheels should be bomb-proof!  I also added penetrating 290 Threadlocker so the wheels will be true-able but the nipples should not loosen up.  I also made sure they were true and dished properly.
  2. I bled the front brake and as pictured, it's tight and very touchy, just the way I like it and just like the rear!  I checked both the front and rear pads and they easily have another season or two (of dry) riding and racing.
  3. For the loose water bottle boss, I drilled it out and installed a new one.  I'm including the cages because they work really well and have never had a bottle bounce out of them.  But if you wanted to remove them or add your own cages, you easily can with 4 working water bottle bosses.
  4. I replaced the bottom bracket.  It's now smooth and nice.
  5. I installed tubes instead of Stan's and remounted the original tires which have maybe 200 miles on them—plenty of life and knob left (as pictured).
  6. The chain has at least another season of riding and racing left.  I replaced it half a season into the life of the bike.
  7. I added a slightly larger Race Face chain-ring (34 tooth) and that new chain mid-2014.  I'll include the old chain-ring but you'll likely have to shorten the chain.
  8. Oh, and it weighs in at 25 pounds 6 ounces as pictured.  Add your pedals but pull out the tubes and add some race tires and you'll be in the 24s!
So, as you can see, this bike is as good as new!  Put some pedals on it, maybe your own saddle and you are ready to rock!  And on top of that, Stan's and you're ready to race!
I dropped the price recently to $1150 which is exactly half of what this bike retailed for 3 years a go. That is as low as I'm going because anything less than that and I'll just keep it as it is race-able and a heck of a training bike. I thought I should make that clear.
