The Famous Adrian 1915
                   French Helmet.

You may have seen  chin straps that I make in my workshop.
A few years ago I received an original Adrian 1915 helmet that still contained it's liner.
What surprised me was that it appeared  hand made by the stitching in the leather and finished with grey wool.
Before it disintegrated completely , I made a template and hand stitched a liner to suit a size 57 .
For this one , I used 1.25mm thickness  , soft black  leather  , waxed thread for the stitching and French Army  Horizon Blue wool of a good weight.

I have Arthritis in my hands , but I have decided to offer these for sale from now on even though it takes me a bit of time to make them ; I take the greatest care when making my liners and produce a liner of museum quality.
My stitching is good and in keeping with the original one and the liner is very comfortable.
I also make FIRST pattern 7 leaf liners. see my other listing for those.
These make a great addition to a display for this being the 100th anniversary of the beginning of WWI and please see my other listing for the Adrian helmet chin strap.
I will ship world wide , but please ask me for a quote before you buy.
PLEASE NOTE , I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY AN ACCOUNTANT THAT I HAVE BEEN SELLING MY LINERS AND CHIN STRAPS AT QUITE A SUBSTANTIAL LOSS ; SO I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO INCREASE THE PRICE. BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE A LINER OF TOP MUSEUM QUALITY.
