The Famous Adrian 1915
                   French Helmet.

You may have seen  chin straps that I make in my workshop.
A few years ago I received an original Adrian 1915 helmet that still contained it's liner.
What surprised me was that it appeared  hand made by the stitching in the leather and the grey wool.
Before it disintegrated completely , I made a template and hand stitched a liner to suit a size 57 .
For this one , I used 1mm thickness  , soft black  leather  , waxed thread for the stitching and French Army  Horizon Blue or Madder red wool of a good weight.

I have Arthritis in my hands , but I have decided to offer these for sale from now on even though it takes me a bit of time to make them ; I take the greatest care when making my liners and produce a liner of museum quality.
My stitching is good and in keeping with the original one and the liner is very comfortable.
I also make second pattern 6 leaf liners. see my other listing for those.
These make a great addition to a display for this being the 100th anniversary of the beginning of WWI and please see my other listing for the Adrian helmet chin strap.
I will ship world wide , but please ask me for a quote before you buy.

PLEASE NOTE : I HAVE HAD TO PUT THE PRICE UP ON MY LINERS BECAUSE  MY BROTHER ,WHO IS  AN ACCOUNTANT , INFORMS ME THAT I HAVE BEEN MAKING AND SELLING MY LINERS AND CHIN STRAPS AT A LOSS  , AN QUITE BY A LOT OF MONEY. I AM SORRY FOR THE PRICE INCREASE.
