1 x Speedwell Rev Counter. 4 Cylinder.

The nice one not the gaudy plastic one.

As usual the umpteen detailed images as we have sod all to hide. I see everyone is now using felt to photograph their items on. Jeez!

Was in a box marked WORKING.

The bezel has not been attacked with a screwdriver.

Glass is quite to very clean for age and in our opinion good to go. A few quid saved.

The bezel is really great, yes really.

The only thing that lets this particular rev counter down is:

Missing bulb unit (standard Smiths item and might be on your loom),

1 Knurled clamp nut is missing. The white wire clamp device is there but the nylon spacer is not present. So you will need to find /beg / buy or borrow from a dead eBay item, your parts bin, existing rev counter or scrounge of a mate or dealer - 3 piddley items.

Now the good news..

Cardboard still on the lighting stud - rare.

Has the little rubber casing grommet. Which looks different so I took it out and it is the same, (slight dome), just in upside down, so I have put it back as it was.

The casing itself is in very nice condition, original factory gloss black meaning a very early model, as later ones are matt black. Some scratches but not a overspray bodge job as per the usual crap we see on fleabay. One spot of white paint on the edge.

All the fixing screws are still brass coloured.

The sealing dash O ring is original and still flexible & tight.

The needle when the counter is oscillated by hand bounces up and down returning to 0 every time. A good sign.

Terminals + - are clean & has the red cap in place.

Starting to get rare these now even in the warehouse here.

Comes with a genuine Smiths support bracket of the correct diameter.

The number plate almost says Edward.
