This is a three arm 1950s Memlite machinist's lamp with a classic switchbox base and a shade dating from a few years later.

We have stripped, polished and waxed the arms, base and shade, rewired with blue silk covered flex to a new brass lampholder and into the original switchbox. The lamp has been mounted on our new style chunky light ash wood base.

As with any vintage item, it does have a few minor pits and dings but this only adds to the lamp's character and helps tell its story.

These lamps are designed to be adjusted with a spanner and screwdriver. The nuts should be tightened once you have decided on the position you want.
