Chakra tuning
The
notes are as follows: C D E F G A B C (in the frequency of A=432Hz). This is the DEEP TONE version - one octave down from our standard Chakra drums. Please listen to the link before buying.
To the ear it will sound like a C Major scale, but it is subtly different due to the 432Hz frequency which will help to align you with the vibrational healing frequency of the universe.
The deep tones are best played individually for Chakra therapy, rather than together for a melody. The vibrations can be felt in person.

Chakras,
in Hindu and Buddhist belief systems, are centres of Prāṇa, life force,
or vital energy. Chakras correspond to vital points in the physical
body i.e. major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves.
Weak
Chakras can cause problems in all areas of your life, so it is
beneficial to try to energize these centres. Alongside meditation, music
therapy can also be used to awaken the Chakras, as they have been found
to be stimulated by particular sound frequencies.
A steel tongue
drum, tuned to the right musical frequencies, would be the perfect
companion to meditation for awakening the Chakras.
AM Drums make a special Chakra drum for this purpose.
Certain
musical notes are often associated with individual Chakras of the human
body. While there are in excess of 300 Chakras, these are the notes
(and colours) believed to awaken the first 7 Chakras. AM Drums have 8
notes. The 8th Chakra is less well known, but helps you to reach the
next level in your meditation.

Steel tongue hank drums are the perfect instrument to take to a festival, for playing around the camp fire and/or jamming with friends. The sound carries a long way outdoors so you're bound to get attention. Being made of tempered steel, with a hard protective paint/varnish coating, it's tough enough to be taken anywhere.

Rustic has been making steel tongue drums for many years and has
perfected the art, so that tuning, form and paintwork are all of the
finest quality.
AM
Drums can be playing by hand or with rubber-tipped drum sticks
(provided). Playing by hand usually takes a little practise to get the
right technique (though some people get it instantly), and it's a
quieter, more personal experience. Playing with sticks produces a
louder, clearer sound, best for busking/performance or recordings.

Disclaimer - AM Drums are made from recycled steel. The shape may have some indentations in it which originate from it's original form. This is just part of your AM Drum's character and does not affect the quality or tuning of the instrument in any way. Photographs are for impression only. We strive to make your drum as similar as possible to the photo, and the best possible. Each one is custom made so it is unique, and there may be some slight variation.
The first hank drums were made by Dennis Havlena, and they were designed to mimic the sound of the Swiss instrument - the name we dare not mention for legal reasons. But his version was quite rough, and he left it to others, like MA Rustic, to perfect the art with their AM Drums. Since then there have been other brands making them, such as HapiDrum, Rock Creek, Milltone, Karanga, Kool Drum, Zen Tambour, Tankdrum, Kaizen, Vibe Drum, Ajner and lots more, as well as more direct copies, by Spacedrum, Caisa, Pentarrow and Halo.
To date, AM Drums are still the best value on the market, by keeping the lowest price, while still maintaining quality and craftsmanship. Customers have told us they prefer our sound to some of the more expensive well-known brands.
AM Rustic make their AM Drums with love. When there is no longer any love going into the making of AM Drums, then they will stop. They are not in it for the money - their motivation is to share with the world the beautiful sound which can spread love and raise consciousness. This is why they prefer to sell directly, face to face, at markets and festivals, where they can play their music to everybody, free of charge. Ebay can be a little impersonal....
