RARE Hasselblad Focusing Screen Acute-Matte D with grid lines and split-image rangefinder for 202/203FE (model 42219) – near MINT condition

 

 

The Acute-Matte D type focusing screens combine extreme brightness and clearness with even illumination, which remarkably facilitates quick and precise focusing. The Fresnel lens is cut with such high precision that the rings cannot be seen through the viewfinder.

 

It has a 28 mm ring corresponding to the metering zone of the 202FA and 203FE, and a 6 mm split image rangefinder corresponding to the spot metering zone of the 205FCC. The grid provides field markings for 6x4.5 cm and 4x4cm.

 

These hard to find, second generation brighter Acute-matte D screens were designed to give improved focusing and clarity than the older Acute-Matte screens. These newer D screens are identifiable by the two notches on one side of the metal frame.

This particular model (42219) with grid lines and the split-image rangefinder is one of the most sought after of all models. This screen is in near MINT condition and free from marks or scratches.

Fits all Hasselblad V series film cameras. All Hasselblad focusing screens for the reflex bodies are easily interchangeable.
