In very good vintage condition, as shown, focus is smooth but slightly stiff (it gets better with use), aperture blades are dry and snappy.
The glass has a few typical age issues, both the front and rear elements have micro-fine cleaning marks along with some "age-spots" or thinning in the coating, there is a ring of haze on the outer parameter behind the front element, there is also a tiny spot in the center of the rear element, I cannot say what the spot is for certain but did my best to show it in the photos.
The issues described are fairly minor as far as the usability/performance of the lens goes and are primarily being mentioned for buyer disclosure.
Test pictures were taken with this lens using an Exakta to M4/3 adapter (not included with the lens) at 1.8 and are unedited jpeg images. This lens produces a very dreamy bokeh and has good contrast and colors and will focus as close as 1 foot.
