INTRODUCTION:

This new controller for some Hella electronic (canbus) actuators is a first. It's been developed using a 6NW 008 412 actuator found on vgt turbos used on many BMWs, Mercedes. Ford, Kia, Jag X-Type, Audis, Peugeot/Citroen/Landrover/Jaguar 2.7v6 etc.

PLEASE NOTE: The 6NW 008 412 number refers to the electronic part of the actuator which fitted to different gearboxes depending on the make & model of vehicle and turbo so if swapping actuators, you may need to keep your gearbox and fit it to the 008 412 actuator. Alternatively, a new mounting bracket for the actuator may be required so the linkage lines up correctly. If possible, we recommend sending us your actuator so we can test & calibrate it with the DGBSE.

In many cases its better to use a vnt turbo from the same vehicle range but a from a later model or one with a higher output. This will usually make the swap much easier.

The DGBSE uses the same main pcb as the DGBS but with a daughter pcb added to control electronic actuators from Hella & also Holset. This means it has the same features as listed below. See photo.

SWITCH FUNCTIONS FOR THE DGBSE+ SENSOR

2 = TPS OVERBOOST - ALLOWS MORE BOOST ON FULL THROTTLE

3 = TPS FUNCTION ENABLED

4 = N/A

5,6,7,8  SELECTS THE ACTIVE BOOST MAP FROM THE 16 AVAILABLE.

 TPS INPUT. (SWITCH 3) All models except LR TD5 version have a TPS input - enabled by switch 3.

 OVERBOOST (SWITCH 2) (requires TPS to be connected)  Turning on switch 2 enables an overboost function where the boost is allowed to go a few psi higher on full throttle.

SWITCHES 5,6,7,8 are the VANE / BOOST CONTROL MAP selectors. There are 16 settings in 4 bands. The band determines the start position for low rpm boost and the setting within each band sets the high rpm boost, with a separate variable adjuster for altering the high rpm boost.

This listing is for a DGB-SE  for use on a wide range of engines WITHOUT an ecu where the turbo has been changed to a vnt type but we recommend sending us your actuator so we can test & calibrate it with the DGBSE.
