Used electronic underground locator from Metrotech. I say you have to learn how to use a locator before you are confident in the results. I have used many different locators over the years, including this model when it was first introduced, and this unit was easy to learn to use. There is a lot of information available for this type of equipment on the web.
I had a Metrotech 9890 that was kept as a backup. The Eveready D cells leaked and destroyed the transmitter. I am including that 9890 receiver in this listing. Both receivers will work with this 9890XT transmitter.
Units were used today to locate buried electrical circuit in PVC using the inductive clamp and the clip on lead. The transmitter uses common D cells and the receiver uses AA batteries. Tested OK today and guaranteed to function as intended. Transmitter and receivers do have paint overspray. I tried to show this in the pictures. This has no effect on the operation.
