1888 Memorial medal created to commemorate the death and end to the reign of Kaiser Friedrich III and the beginning of the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany (King of Prussia). Kaiser Wilhelm II succeeded both his Grandfather, Kaiser Wilhelm I, and his father, Friedrich III in that same year. Kaiser Wilhelm II fled Germany after the Allied victory in World War 1. The bronze or copper medal or pendant measures approx. 1.57" (40mm) in diameter and is in fair condition with wear and oxidation.
