12-48V DC 1000W Induction Heater Flyback Driver Zero Voltage Switching ZVS





DESCRIPTION

It can be powered by 12-48V DC. 

Rated current 20A. Rated Power 1000Watts.

An ideal tool for quenching/chilling, annealing in your  DIY applications.

At 24V input, no-load status, current approx. 3A;

At 48V input, no-load status, current approx. 6A.

The higher voltage, the higher current when heating the  same object (and heat generation would also be bigger). So you'd need to  choose a proper voltage for your actual application. For example, for an  object about 1 square cm, 24V would do the job.

If user can find a high frequency transformer to replace  the bronze coil, can change the unit into a strong inverter.

　

Important Notes for User:

1) User would need to prepare power supply and cooling  system. 

The back of the board is made with reinforced circuit and  heat generation is relatively small. Anyway, if you are planning to use  the heater for long time, we strongly recommend using a fan to face down  above the heater, give cooling to heat sink and capacitors.

2) If you are using a switch power supply: please take  caution. For high-power power supply, the design normally include  buffled start-up, which means at the beginning of its work, the volt  output slowly goes up. If before 12V we connect through the circuit,  no-resonance would occur due to low start-up voltage, and this will  cause two MOSes connect through at the same time, and burn components.

So the right procedure is: start up the switch power  supply, wait a while for volt to go above 12V, and then connect through.

3) For the object being heated, its size should not  exceed 1/10 of inner space of coil (and if the object is in the shape of  a cylinder, its diameter should not exceed 1/3 of diameter of coil),  otherwise will cause over-load to burn the circuit or power supply.

4) The circuit is designed to withstand 30A input. But  for good practice, we strongly recommend keeping current within 20A.  (you can add a current/amp tester between power supply and the heater  for monitoring current).
