Victor (JVC) QL-5 Turntable, Vintage (1977), in Excellent Condition, Restored!

This is a wonderful vintage turntable in excellent condition.  It’s a beautiful of example of mid to late ‘70’s design, and features a rosewood veneer finish as well as a quartz lock direct drive motor.   Products made for the domestic Japan market are branded as Victor, while export models are branded as JVC. 

This table has a very cool, thick strobe design, as well as a platter brake that is really impressive.  The platter stops almost immediately when the motor is turned off.  It also has the original Victor lid and hinges in very good condition.  I found a beautiful vintage headshell in near mint condition (see photos) that is included with this listing.  I've seen this headshell sell for $75 to $100 when listed separately.  

There is NO Cartridge included with this listing.  The cartridge shown (a New Old Stock, very hard to find Victor MD-1016) was used for photo purposes.  If you are interested in buying this cartridge, or another, please message me.

This turntable runs on 100V; a brand new VT-100J 100W voltage converter is included with this item.  This is a quality device in a metal case that will safely and correctly convert 115-120V to 100V. 

Cosmetics:

• Cabinet:  Very Good+. Very minor peeling of the veneer at the corners.  Otherwise in beautiful shape.
• Tonearm:  Very Good+
• Tonearm Assembly:  Excellent
• Headshell:  Near Mint. It is gorgeous and correct for the era.  Includes lead wires. 
• Platter:  Excellent+
• Mat:  Excellent
• Dust Cover:  Very Good.  Some aging but a very good sense of clarity.  This is the original lid with the Victor logo. 

Shipping:

All of my items are extremely well packed.  Protective packaging, and in some cases, double boxing is used.  I spend an average of $12 in materials for each turntable to make sure my items arrive safely.  Please see my feedback comments to verify this.
