Vintage Denon DP-1800 Turntable with Marble Cabinet              

Here’s a classic collectible direct drive turntable made by Denon in the mid to late 70’s.  I will also be listing its big brother, the DP-2800, in a month or two.  This turntable features a natural marble top with mahogany ply construction.  Another cool feature is the strobe window, and the imbedded strobe dots on the bottom of the platter. 

For this listing, I am including a Technics EPC-U1200 moving magnet cartridge.  This cartridge is in very good used condition and upon inspection of the needle, appears to have significant life left.  If you don’t need the headshell and cartridge and prefer to supply your own, please message me for a discount.

• Cabinet:  Very Good.  There is some peeling on the front left corner.  Otherwise, I would rate this cabinet as Excellent+. 
• Tonearm Assembly:  Excellent

• Controls, buttons:   Excellent
• Dust Cover:  Excellent, no major flaws and a very good sense of clarity.  I just refinished this and applied a protective finish. 
• Platter:  Excellent.  Mat is excellent.

• Tonearm downforce:  OK.  I just serviced the lifter with fresh damping fluid.

Because this particular unit was made for the Japanese market, it runs on 100 volts.  This listing includes a brand new VT-100J 100W converter.

This turntable, due to its marble cabinet, is very heavy.  Protective packaging will be applied, which will result in a heavier weight and larger dimensions.  I spend over $12 in materials per box and take every precaution to eliminate damage.  Shipping is a flat rate of $55 for the 48 continental states.  This will include insurance for the winning bid amount.  I use either FedEx Home Delivery or UPS Ground, whatever works best for the buyer’s destination.
