This amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaurs. In December of 2016, a portion of the tail of a small dinosaur was reported in a piece of burmite amber!
This is a rare, fully polished piece of burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a superb wasp. This wasp is beautifully preserved and would have been on the Earth at the time of the dinosaurs!

The piece itself weighs 0.5 grams with dimensions of 1.4 cm length by 0.8 cm width and 0.5 cm height.
