THIS IS A BRAND NEW MILITARY SURPLUS RADIOSONDE. Auction is for one radiosonde with multiple avalible for purchase. Measures weather tempeture and humidity an barometric pressure and transmets it back to a ground station. Originally bought by the U.S. Military in a 1986 contract these were manfactured in 1991 for over $400.00 a piece. Our radiosondes function on a frequency of 403MHZ. These have new sealed air batteries that start as they are exposed to the humidity in the air. Really neat piece of technology START YOUR OWN WEATHER STATION!!!

A radiosonde (Sonde is French and German for probe) is a unit for use in things such as weather balloons that measures various atmospheric parameters and transmits them to a fixed receiver. This radiosonde operates at a radio frequency of 403 MHz and  may be adjusted slightly higher or lower as required.
