Binary™ 520 Series 1080p HDBaseT Extender with IR, RS-232
This mighty Binary™ HDMI Extender goes the distance, transmitting HDMI signals up to 230' over a single Cat 5e/6 cable. For the icing on the cake, you get robust control system integration that includes bi-directional IR and RS-232.

4K Compatibility - This product is compatible with HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4 specifications. This would limit the video resolution to 4K@30Hz 4:2:0.
Power Supply Voltage - Binary HDBaseT HDMI extenders use a 12 Volt DC power supply. All other Binary HDMI extenders use a 5 Volt DC power supply, and matrix switchers with integrated Cat 5 extenders use 12 Volt DC supplies. Using any other product than 12V, Binary product will result in damage to the product and possibly the power supply. Be sure to use the correct power supply with the correct product!
Shielded Cable Recommendation - Although HDBaseT transmission technology is much less susceptible to EMI interference than other transmission technologies, if possible, it is recommended that you pull shielded Cat5e/Cat6 with this product for maximum reliability. Please note: for proper shielding, shielded connectors must be used with drains connected at both ends. In addition, “EZ end” connectors are not recommended for use with HDMI extenders.
HDMI with Full 3D Support
This extender offers full support of HDMI® with 3D, Deep Color (36bit) and HDCP 1.4, as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats.

Better with HDBaseT
HDBaseT technology provides a robust solution for high-definition multimedia content distribution. This Binary™ Single CAT 5e/6 HDMI Extender supports an HDBaseT feature set that transmits full uncompressed HD video, audio, POC (power over cable), and control signals (bi-directional IR, RS-232, and IP), all through a single CAT5e/6 LAN cable up to 230'. It allows for greater RF immunity, so you get a better and more reliable signal, plus it's easier to install because you don’t have to fiddle with any EQ settings. Just plug and play and you're on your way to faster, easier, and just plain better media distribution.

Bi-Directional PoC
No room for a bulky power supply behind the TV or in a rack? Not a problem. With Bi-Directional Power over Cable (PoC), you can send power over the same Cat5e/6 cable that extends your video, audio, and control signals. This means you only need one power supply - and you can put it at the head end or display to get it completely out of the way. Plus the extender features screw-down power plugs, so you never have to worry about getting service calls because a plug fell out when the TV was moved. Now those are some real reasons to celebrate!

Complete Control
Thanks to bi-directional IR, RS-232, and IP, you get no-hassle integration with a variety of control systems, and you can easily send IR signals from the TV location back to cable boxes, DVD players, and other source equipment at the head end. The IR connections feature active circuitry that supports a wide variety of IR and control system types.

Local Outputs HDMI
To make things easier for you, we’ve included outputs for HDMI at the transmitter, eliminating the need for an external splitter device. One device – many uses.

Clock Stretching Solution
This extender features an embedded circuit that solves clock stretching issues, when HDBaseT extenders are paired with some cable boxes.

Easy Firmware Upgrades
You never know what new TV or BluRay player is going to throw you a curve ball. Upgradable firmware gives our software team the ability to update the system to handle any “gotchas.” Just flip the switch on the RS-232 port and upgrade on-site.

Built In ESD & Surge Protection
Intelligent circuit design, perfected through extensive hardware testing, has resulted in a robust product with excellent ESD and surge protection that exceeds CE Level 3 standards. During development, every connection was tortured with an ESD gun and a lightning simulator. They were hit with ESD at 15KV and surges up to 1600V. More importantly, though, they each lived to tell about it!
