Up for Auction - 16mm B & W sound film of Men's basketball featuring National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and NCAA games from Madison Square Garden for the 1949-1950 season.  The film was produced by Official Films.

What Is On This Film:

The film starts with highlights of the Championship game of the National Invitational Tournament with City College of New York (CCNY) Defeating Bradley.

It then shows highlights of the NCAA Men's regional games between Ohio State and Holy Cross. Holy Cross features Bob Cousy.  It also shows highlights of the Men's regional between Baylor and N. C. State.  The film ends with Mens's NCAA Championship Game which features a rematch between CCNY and Bradley.  CCNY won both the NIT & NCAA Titles in 1950 and coached by legendary Nat Holman.

The Condition of This Film:

The film is about 300 to 325 ' and in very good condition.  It ran perfectly through my projector.   All titles are intact and the are very few surface scratches, no splices, torn sprocket holes or smells.  The sound is excellent.  It is narrated by the legendary Marty Glickman.
