A fine Joseph Guarneri Violin by Master Wang Zhiguo
Fine violin, handmade and hand oil varnished. This is a copy of the famous instrument played by Niccolo Paganini, built by Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu in 1743. Paganini named it "Il Cannone" (the cannon). It is made to look very old. Very nice wood, beautifully carved. Zoom in to see the detail. Inlaid purfling, masterly hand carved Aubert French bridge. New Thomastik Dominant strings. Elegantly carved scroll. Master Wang's personal work, made with 200 year old spruce.
This instrument is solid and ready to play. It's in excellent condition without cracks or repairs. It has been professionally set up to play easily. New Thomastik Dominant perlon strings. The pegs fit well and turn smoothly. The Despiau Superiuer bridge is cut well with medium/low action. Flamed maple back, sides, and neck. Ebony fingerboard. Inlaid purfling. A quality, hand made instrument from a Master Luthier. Original label reads: "Copy of Guarneri del Gesu 1743 Cannone Violin Hand Made by Master Luthier: Wang Zhiguo W10, 2017".
Very nice Open, Sweet, Pure tone with power. It has a singing voice, sweet, mature, nicely rich and well balanced, with quick response.
