Art Nouveau Fringe Necklace

This is a fabulous pretty and unusual necklace from around 1900. My feelings are this is a German piece, possibly imported by Murrle Bennett from the Theodore Fahrner factory. Several MB & Co and Theodor Fahrner marked pieces I have had the same element of this "caged" design mainly with baroque pearls. There is a mark, it looks like a W (or could be an M of course) in a star - many German / Pforzheim jewellers / designers used their surname initial inside a five pointed star.

This piece has drops of Amazonite, the beautiful semi opaque, blue-green stone similar to turquoise and named after the Amazon River. This stone was particularly  popular with Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts Jewellers. Each of the 7 drops are "caged" in 15ct gold.
The necklace fastens with a spring bolt ring.

A very pretty and feminine piece.
