Since its inception, the Faïencerie de Pornic has
produced dozens of different sets created by stylists coming from all walks of
life. Such as the great Petit
Breton classic
Traditionally decorated with a handwritten name, the first Petit
Breton was born in 1950, under the brush of Raymond Cordier,
Then head of workshop.
Technically called CEB (for Blue
Spongy Tailpiece), it was originally entirely hand painted. As
the little man tended to flourish in winter and thin in summer, the use of
tampon, then chromo, soon stabilized his silhouette. (Note this is a more
recent chromo technique)
