Vintage Stanley "Bedrock" No 607 Jointer Plane - Flat Sides - In Good Condition

Please see the pictures they show the actual item for sale in this listing. This plane
belonged to a cabinetmaker who ceased working in the 1960's and  this plane has
been lightly oiled sat in storage since then. From what I can see the plane is pretty
well complete and UNDAMAGED. I note that the cutter is a vintage Stanley UK type
and the correct size with a good amount of the cutter left before the slot. The chip
breaker is a vintage Record replacement. The base of the plane has NO damage
or issues, the mouth is unchipped and it is in good order. There is some tarnish to
the metal surface but nothing nasty NO rust or pitting - see pictures. The main casting
is marked with the words "Bedrock - Made In USA - NO 607" and there is also a patent
date "US Pat, Apr-19-10".

The front knob is of rosewood and it is in good order, the rear toot looks like a later
replacement - I am not 100% sure that it fits that well. The lever cap bears the word
"Stanley" in raised lettering within a rectangular border. There is a very small chip from
the edge of the lever cap this should be clearly visible in the pictures. The plane measures
22" long and the cutter is 2 3/8" wide.

Any questions - Please ask BEFORE you purchase. A nice larger hand plane ideal for
adding to a collection of similar items or for actually using. A large number of "serious"
woodworkers and collectors consider these Bedrock planes to be among the best mass
production planes ever made. These planes were produced during the period of the 1890's
up to the 1920's.
