Luxman PD-375 Quartz Direct Drive Turntable with DSS Vacuum Disc Stabilizer System.

Please ask or wait for an invoice before paying if you are using Paypal. The turntable is very heavy and must be carefully packed for shipping.

Up for sale is a high-quality,  one-owner Luxman PD-375 direct Drive turntable. This model has the vacuum disc stabilizer system that holds down a record better than any record clamp. It also has a very nice tonearm that was made by Micro Seiki of Japan. The cartridge is a vintage Stanton 881S.

I installed new belts and cleaned the gear trains for the tonearm and the stabilizer system. I also used a nice light phono lube on these parts. The vacuum system seems to work just fine and holds the record down nicely and releases it when the DSS is shut off. There is an audible thunk at the end of the vacuum hold down function which I am told is the suction system concluding it's hold on the record but I am not sure.

The turntable plays great in fully manual mode. The auto and repeat functions are not working the way they should because the tonearm does not drop the needle where it needs to put it. I have reviewed the owners manual and the service manual and there are adjustments but it takes a bit of work to set these dead on so I will let the next owner fiddle with them.

The tonearm lift does not work when the tonearm is on the record as the fragile lifting leg that protrudes from the lifter was broken off.

One of the four feet on the underside was broken so I used a stack of four rubber discs to create a nice replacement for it. It is the same height as the other three feet.

The original dust lid is included. It has some fine scratches as well as a few deeper scratches. It is nearly impossible for me to show the fine scratches but i did include some pictures that show the deeper scratches. I have polished these lids out before to gem-like quality but it takes some work. One of the hinges has broken and the spring has released it's tension so the lid does not stay up when lifted. Please look at the photo I included.

There are two very small dents on the front lip of the aluminum trim on the deck. I included photos to show these so please look carefully.

I have the original owners manual and tone arm insert. I will also include a copy of a more detailed owners manual, schematics and service manual.

This is a highly regarded and sought after deck and will be a very addition to an audiophile system if someone is willing to put in some work to adjust it and correct the flaws.

PLEASE ASK FOR AN INVOICE BEFORE PAYING.

The eBay shipping calculator is notoriously flawed and can overcharge or undercharge. Ask for an invoice and let me final box this and calculate exact shipping to you. All shipments must have full final value insurance and Registered Mail. The ebay stated shipping cost also does not include the Registered Mail add-on. Sometimes I use UPS Ground for heavier items (over 20 lbs.). In that case the service will include insurance and tracking.

If you click through and pay the eBay stated shipping and do not ask for an invoice then there may be additional funds needed to ship. I will send an invoice from PayPal with a note for the additional shipping cost, if any.

I will hold the shipment until the underpayment has been made to PayPal.

Please Note:

If you have any questions, please ask before bidding/buying. This is vintage electronics component and it currently works well. It is being sold AS-IS with no returns unless the functions I describe do not work when it arrives.

Thank you.
