Add Hybrid Apple/Samsung Android functionality to your headphones with the new AHG V2.0 hybrid cable! The AHG V2.0 Hybrid cable gives you cross-compatibility control over MOST POST 2012 Apple and Samsung Android devices.
AE2/AE2w OWNERs - This cable will plug into the AE2/AE2w headphones as shown in picture 7. The cable does not have the same plastic housing as the original AE2/AE2w cable but does fit into the port and is secure while in use. There is a gap surrounding the connector but this has no affect on the headphones or the performance.
Cable functions are determined by the device software and headphone ring technology. Volume control, track selection and microphone use can be supported. PLEASE NOTE - Apple and Samsung Android devices do not support the same functions. Depending on your Samsung devices software, the triple-click for 'previous track' function may not work (Supported = Samsung S6/S6 Edge Only).
This cable is compatible with other select Android devices but NOT ALL OF THEM! This is due to the 'ring technology' and how certain manufacturers programme it to work with the Android software and their devices. Some other compatible devices are LG G2/3/4/5, LG Nexus and OnePlus ONE/TWO/THREE.
Made with a durable PVC coating, a length of 140 cm, a cable diameter of 2.8 mm and gold plated connectors (to ensure optimum sound quality and corrosion resistance). It comes with a newly designed 3-button remote control; a microphone and an Apple/Android switch on the back. The L connector gives added strength and protection from cable breakages. Do you own Apple and Samsung Android devices? Do you want to use one cable to control them? Most headphones come with a cable designed for use with APPLE devices but what about Samsung Android? Control both with this Accessory House hybrid headphone cable. Functionality will differ based on the software/ring technology used/programmed by the manufacturer of your device.
Compatibility:
Apple – Fully compatible with Post 2012 devices up to iPhone 6/6 Plus. iPhone 7/7 Plus supports volume/track selection when using an original MFI certified iPhone 7/7 Plus 3.5mm lightning adaptor. Microphone function for voice applications and phone calls is untested and possibly not supported due to the lightning adaptor.
Samsung Android – Samsung Galaxy S5 and older will support all functions besides triple-click to skip 1 song backwards (this will include tablets and notes from the same generations). Galaxy S6 Phones and devices from this generation and above will support all functions.
Other Android:
LG and OnePlus Android devices will support the same functions as seen in Samsung Galaxy S5 and under.
HTC Android - does not support volume control and volume buttons control track selection.
Sony Android - devices are not compatible….at all!
Huawei Android - devices are untested.
Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL - are fully compatible
