Flip Skateboards was started in England by Jeremy Fox and Ian Deacon as a revamp of skateboard brand Bash which was a division of Death Box Skateboards. In 1993 Deathbox and Flip merged into one with the plan to move to company to USA. Jeremy Fox, Ian Deacon, Tom Penny, Geoff Rowley, Rune Glifberg and Andy Scott moved the brand to Huntington Beach in California where it joined Blitz Distribution. Flip have become one of the most trusted skateboard brands, and lead one of the most impactful skateboard teams in the world. Flip have produced several award winning skate videos including the Sorry trilogy featuring 'Flip Sorry', 'Flip Really Sorry' and most recently 'Flip Extremely Sorry' that have all gone on to win numerous awards taking the skateboarding world by storm. 5 Members of the Flip team Geoff Rowley, Bob Burnquist, Arto Saari, Mark Appleyard and David Gonzales have all won the prestigious 'Thrasher - Skater Of The Year' award. The Flip Skateboards team consists of Bob Burnquist, Rune Glifberg, Lance Mountain, Tom Penny, Ali Boulala, Luan de Oliveira, David Gonzlez, Arto Saari, Curren Caples and UK ripper Ben Nordberg.
