ANTIQUE GERMAN BISQUE SIMON & HALBIG #1040 27" DOLL Midwest Estate Buyers is pleased to offer up for auction a German bisque doll! We recently acquired a lot of items that includes vintage and antique dolls and toys! Be sure to check our listings frequently for other wonderful finds such as this one! Up for auction we have a 27" doll from the German maker Simon and Halbig. This is a Dolly Face doll mold #1040. She has a bisque shoulder head, soft kid body, bisque arms, glass eyes, open mouth, and pierced ears. She also has a detached brunette wig with the number 13 sewn in the inside. She has a white dress, with an under dress and stockings. The dress has some staining. She has earings and a necklace. I don't believe the necklace is original to the doll, but I am not certain. I believe the necklace is really a pin on a piece ribbon.
According to a Simon & Halbig website, the company produced bisque dolls in the Waltershausen area of Thuringia, Germany from 1869 to 1914. They made heads with their own This doll would be a great addition to any collection!
