Ac cobra replica based on an early model Mazda MX5 .
This was carried out due to the Ac cobra and MX5 having nearly identical wheelbase just 1/2 inch and track is identical,so the Cobra body shell hasn't been altered in width or length to accommodate the MX5 chassis.
Also the actual dry weight of a Ac Cobra is 1147kg the MX5 is 970 kg not counting its diet to fit this cobra body,so should go like a rocket
Also this means no IVA/ SVA needed and cheap insurance compared to insuring a Dax cobra (get a quote).
The current stage of the project if very far, all mx5 unnecessary components body interior etc removed,also strengthened at he rear to allow low seat, also all bare metal has been covered in epoxy primer
The engine has been moved back around 13 inch,so a V8 conversion would fit easy,also if you check,so mx5 have had v12 squeezed in,check you tube for clips. Alternatively you could stick a Mazda RX7 rotary turbo in 300bhp plus.
The body is about 80 percent fitted,you just need to attach the passenger side(drivers side done,so just copy)
Engine has been wired up to the ignition and turns over,will need airflow meter,fuel tank,lines and sender unit
Wiring for the light have been done and are on the stalks,just need to be wired up to the headlight and indicators.
Boot ,bonnet,doors and windscreen ,roll bars are just dry fitted.Also have a set of bullet wing mirrors.
It will need a interior  which i don't have,as you see it now is how it is, but i do have a dash,afraid no dials. Also i have the front and rear nudge bars,they will need polishing.And cobra seat runners
Gearbox cover,tunnel will need boxing in.
Car is not in white gelcoat but been resprayed diamond white, Blue viper stripe is pained on but the black stripes are vinyl,so can be just peeled off.
Wheels are 18 TSW  if you would like smaller wheels you can go as low as 14`s
So in a nut shell that's its,may need the od other bit doing as can be expected.
Spent a lot to date ,just ad up the cost of a shell and windscreen would set you back over 3 grand , £2200 from dax for the body and £750 just for the windscreen,never mind the donor car,wheels,respray,labor etc.

No reserve, only selling as its stored in a friends garage,and don't a sufficient power source,plus the journey there drives me crazy.

Also if you have nt driven a MX5 before i suggest you do so,they are quite nippy cars,then take into the account the weight loss that this project has undergone.
