A collectors quality Technics SA-700A Stereo AM/FM Receiver in mint condition, bought new in 1979

This unit is an easy 9.5 on Audiogon's rating scale, it shows no signs of wear and has been stored since 1980.

This is the black anodized face edition with world voltage selector (110v, 120v, 220v and 240v).

Receiver has been freshly serviced, pots and switches have been cleaned and lubed and the clear glass display has been cleaned, in the photos you will see some glare which is just reflections, the display is crystal clean.

For full disclosure, I have to reveal two very minor factory imperfections to the top of the wood veneer case, I have done my best to capture the imperfections in photos, in photo #8 there is a tiny (and I mean tiny) smudge of what appears to be glue, this likely occurred during production as it has been there since day one. In photo #9 there is a small (almost imperceptible) indent at the forward leading edge no sign of striking anything, These two marks are the only blemishes on the entire unit.

This stereo still looks as good as it did when it was brought home from the store and it operates 100% perfectly and sounds remarkable.

Power is 100wpc into 8ohms @ .03% thd and 125wpc into 4 ohms, it is no slouch and has no problem driving the most inefficient and power hungry speakers ever made.

Dimensions are:

Shipping is a bit pricey due to the weight all boxed up (approx 40lbs), I will package this receiver to withstand a nuclear strike and ship it out right away insured, local pick-up is free.
