Achira is an amazing seed from the Amazon region

The South American species, Canna edulis, known locally as "achira". Achira is grown in the Andes for its starchy, tuberous rhizome which is boiled and eaten. In Peru the rhizomes are baked for up to 12 hours after which they become a white, mucilaginous mass with a sweet taste.
The hole of 1 mm is drilled verticaly in the middle


The seeds are colored.
Therefore there is a slight variation in the beads.
