Original American Airlines New York World's Fair Poster.  1961.  Signed by artist Henry K. Benscathy.
Not a Reproduction.  Not a Reprint.
Amazing artwork for this Poster.  A modernist art deco view of Manhattan with the big World's Fair Unisphere in front.
Poster is in Very good condition.  The Poster has been newly linenbacked by a top professional.  There was some restoration performed at the right and lefthand border, just into the image.  Not detectable.  One of my favourite posters ever.
Poster measures a very large 77 x 101 cm.
American Airlines: New York World's Fair, the 1961-62 travel poster soliciting visitors to the 1964-65 New York World's Fair on American Airlines. Note that there were many posters for this World's Fair, and most featured the Unisphere (sponsored by U.S. Steel), which was the most recognizable image from this World's Fair, and that some of the posters for this were created by noted movie poster artist Bob Peak, and others were created by Henry Benscathy. Note that the metal Unisphere, which was created by U.S. Steel for the World's Fair, still stands in Flushing, New York!
