CONDITION: I rate cosmetic condition as Mint considering its age; shows only faint rubs on bottom of camera. No scrapes, blemishes, paint loss anywhere else. All leatherette is tight and looks new. Both viewfinders are unscratched, clean, clear, showing only somelight dust on Fresnel screen and internal prism, mirror is clean and no marks.
All speeds are correct (Auto and Manual) Led' s in viewfinder are all operating correctly as is Battery warning LED.
Single and Continuous drive mode works correctly
Memo/Timer working correctly
Use of Bayonet IV lenses necessary to show lens aperture readout in viewfinder

Many of these cameras have been destroyed by using alkaloid 1.5 cells which burn out the motor drive coils because of overvoltage 6.4v compared to (alkaloid 7.95-8.2v). The shutter will dry fire but not have guts to advance the film because of Motor/Board overload-damage from incorrect voltages. Trust me, I have seen many over the years damaged in this way.
Rollei did no favors originally marketing and marking use of 1.5 volt alkaloid inside of battery compartment of early models....many returns, great profit losses and problems, eventual bankruptcy to boot! Later battery compartments were sealed with soldered inrechargeable NiCad 1.2v cells as were the later 3001 & 3003 models with a proprietary charger unit. I use a RadioShack Ni Cad batteries(included) and Duracell Charger (not included).
These cameras need to be"exercised" at least every 4-5 months of non-use to keep them functioning properly. This one has and will continue to provide good service to the new owner of this most unusual and exceptional camera system. When coupled with high quality Carl Zeiss lenses pictures taken with this camera are truly outstanding.
