Final year of the 600 and first & only year for the 350SL

It all probably began in 1972 – the S-class was considered the top-of the-line Mercedes that deserves its own brochure. 

 

The brochure covers the following cars:

·         280 SE

·         280 SE 4.5

·         300 SEL 4.5

·         350 SL (only year)

·       600 (last year shown in US brochures)

 

All models are discussed and shown with a large double-page picture of each car. 

 

1972 was the only year for the 350SL to be imported to the US.  The next year it was already replaced with the 450SL as Emission controls reduced the power output siginificantly on the US cars. 

 

The 600 was in its final year to be discussed in a US brochure.  1972 marked the last year for the 600 in the U.S. (to my knowledge)

 

Also included is a specification sheet and a 280SE / SEL 4.5 Sedan reprint article sheet.

Condition:                            Back cover has a fold, light creases on the covers, reprint article has some wear at the edges
