Diesel Fuel Oil Conditioner

Kleen-Flo Diesel Fuel Oil Conditioner is a liquid diesel oil additive designed to keep injectors clean. It protects against fuel system corrosion, prevents winter stalling and protects against frozen fuel lines in road construction machinery and marine applications.

The injection of fuel oil into a diesel engine must take place at approximately 1/500th of a second so correct timing is essential for complete ignition. The small quantity of fuel (a drop of diameter 1/16th to 1/18th of an inch) atomizes into the air at a pressure of 2,400 to 3,000 lbs. per square inch depending on the engine design. Critical pressure, volume and timing requirements can only be met if the fuel delivery system is perfectly clean and free of varnish and sludge. If not, the engine may not start at all, or when it does start, it will misfire or not idle smoothly.

Another problem is water contamination. Due to changes in temperature, fuel tank “breathers” allow warm air to flow out of the tank. In the evening, moist air flows back into the tank where the condensation of water occurs. During cold periods or working conditions (i.e. high altitude), water may freeze and block off the flow of fuel. Kleen-Flo Diesel Fuel Oil Conditioner prevents this. Secondly, water causes corrosion. Rust particles break free from rusted surfaces to block fuel or cause wear in finely machined parts.

Kleen-Flo Diesel Fuel Oil Conditioner is prepared from a powerful solvent. Simply add 115 ml of conditioner to every 225 litres of diesel fuel, either into the tank on the vehicle or into the bulk storage tank. (1 litre of Stock #993 to every 2300 litres of diesel fuel).

Use regularly for best results. For vehicles subjected to periodic storage use every other fill. The accumulation of varnish and sludge is more prevalent with intermittently used vehicles. For an extreme cold period, double the dosage.
